Breeder of the Ultimate Full Blood Wagyu beef

Kalanga Red Star C402 (AUS) has the blood on his sire's side by Heart Brand Red Star (IMP USA) who in turn is by Shigemaru (IMP JAP) and the imported Japanese “blue hen” MTA Akiko (IMP JAP).

MTA Akiko (IMP JAP) is also the dam of two other Kumamoto AKAUSHI giants in the bulls HB Big Al Q502 (IMP USA) and TWA Kotsukari (IMP USA).

Kalanga Red Star C402 (AUS) dam Kalanga Hikahomare VW36 (AUS) is just as well bred as his sire. Kalanga Hikahomare (AUS) was sired by the best bull in the Kumamoto AKAUSHI breed, Hikari (IMP JAP) out of the imported RWA Homare Blue 2 (IMP USA) who possesses the blood of Judo (IMP JAP) which only covered two full blood families with only limited females being produced.

RWA Homare Blue 2 (IMP USA) is out of the Japanese original imported female in JVP 27 Homare J238128R (IMP JAP) a magnificent specimen of the breed, and a foundation bloodline that has also produced top industry bulls.

Kalanga Red Star C402 (AUS) as a sire has EBV’s that have outperformed it's own sire, Heart Brand Red Star (IMP USA) and his grand sire the great Shigemaru (IMP JAP), which is a testament to the proof that Kalanga Red Star C402 (AUS) has what it takes in the progeny production department as figures do not lie.

Kalanga Red Star C402 (AUS) brings size, with milk in his females and added meat production in growth weights. He is as good as it gets, until he produces a son better than himself.

This bull's bloodline is available at the Subtilia Ranch and can be used with confidence by both commercial and stud breeders alike.

WSI Umemaru (IMP CAN) has been tested free on all 5 recessive genetic diseases. This outstanding son of Hikari (IMP JAP) introduces a new bloodline unique to the Subtilia Ranch herd..

Umemaru’s importance cannot be overstated as proven semen in Kumamoto AKAUSHI full blood bulls is in short supply.

Subtilia Ranch is producing new bloodlines that will be of immense value to the Kumamoto AKAUSHI industry.

Umemaru (IMP CAN) has a proven progeny auction record with one pure bred calf bringing US$7,600 in 2009. It leaves it to one’s imagination as to what price would have been paid had the heifer calf been a full blood Kumamoto AKAUSHI?

In addition to the above, one Kumamoto AKAUSHI female was sold at the March 2010 Texas sale at the highest price of US$16,000.

Kumamoto AKAUSHI embryos were also sold at the Texas sale and made US $1500 each, far more than the black Wagyu embryo prices paid.

It should be noted that some Kumamoto AKAUSHI embryos are commanding up to $5,000.00 each for rare bloodlines today.

A great future is predicted for Kumamoto AKAUSHI stock for its ability to produce superior weight gains and marbling ability on grass compared to many of the black wagyu. Recent auction sales confirm this trend.

Into the future the Subtilia Ranch will be offering outstanding embryos and bulls from a wonderful group of diverse niche blooded females.

HB Big Al Q502 (IMP USA) was born in the USA and has the honour of being the first Kumamoto AKAUSHI calf born outside of Japan.

His dam MTA Akiko (IMP JAP) was in calf prior to leaving Japan and produced the bull calf on 27 January 1995.

Big Al Q502 (IMP USA) weighed 69 lbs and was originally named Mitsuaki but later had his name changed to HB Big Al Q502 (IMP USA).

HB Big Al (IMP USA) was sired by Dai 10 Mitsumau 76 (JAP) who is the same sire of the best- imported Japanese bull in Hikari (IMP JAP).  This is important as both Hikari (IMP JAP) and HB Big Al Q502 (IMP USA) are the only two carriers of their sire’s blood.

Both bulls are of significant value to the Kumamoto AKAUSHI foundation blood mix outside of Japan since no Japanese female imports have the blood of Dai 10 Mitsumau 76 (JAP).

The Subtilia Ranch can now offer access to this exclusive bloodline through Nikko (Sunlight).

This heifer is sired by BIG AL out of a SHIGEMARU cross DAI 8 MARUNAMI cow!!!!!

The heifer SRP Beniko B01, is born out of a cross between Seisakushu and Nikko.
